OMFG!
Ok so I think that I will have the honor of writing the Sound! Blog's first purely negative review. The idea was first give to me by Jesse of Locksley and I thank him now for it. However hard this may be for some of you to read, I find it 100% necessary for the legions of readers we have to know the truth, or my life will cease to exist, totally. So on Wednesday I am ashamed to say that a group of my friends wasted their hard earned/begged money on tickets to the Fallout Boy concert (OMFG I KNOW!!). While not actually attending this concert myself, and refusing to actually acknowledge Fallout Boy's existence by asking someone else, I can not personally tell you how they performed but my guess... well I think you can guess how I think they performed, but for those of you who can't, I think the word I was looking for was shitty. Fallout Boy is by far one of the most over hyped bands in the past decade, far surpassing that of groups like Good Charlotte and LFO. Fallout Boy is a group who has no real unique qualities and sound like many other groups of their type (aka groups of overgrown teenage boys who probably don’t write their own music). I thought that stealing drum rhythms from great classic rock songs and re-using the same three guitar chords over and over again could only get a group so far but I was proved wrong with Fallout Boy. Overall, between the un-uniqueness of their sound, their songs sounding all the same and their lead singer who has a whiney voice (such a whiney voice in fact that id be surprised if he was not a Eunuch of some sort), I'd say that Fallout Boy sucks, and someone should brake their hands so no more horrible music can be made. Thank you.
If you wish to enlighten yourself self and realizing that they suck CHECK THEM OUT! (I mean seriously, just look at the pictures who the hell do they think they are?)

I am aware that you were looking to write a negative review but I think that next time you should try to do it on a band that is truly bad. Fall Out Boy is a group of talented musicians who have established themselves in the music industry. They have worked just as hard as any of the bands that you may like. This may say that this is an anonymous comment, but no it's me Katie writing. Instead of "wasting my hard-earned money" on concert tickets to Fall Out Boy, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, as did the rest of your friends who attended. It was an amazing concert with an awesome band who have earned their way to becoming a very popular group. As much as you hate them, I happen to enjoy them. And I do not think that just because you do not share this liking of Fall Out Boy does not mean that you should go trashing them on a blog. Just because I don't like some of the bands that you do does not mean that I should go around being so negative. Other people have different tastes and can like whatever they choose. I happen to like a band that are extremely talented but are also very popular and disliked by you. They have worked just as hard as the bands you prefer and are just as talented as any of them. Like you I am writing this comment in a "fit of rage" because I am disgusted with what you had to say. Maybe next time you should take into account the opinions of other people on bands rather than just your own. Fall Out Boy is an amazing group whom I like for the music they play, I do not dislike them for their name and popularity as you seem to. They deserve to be where they are and a good regardless of whether you like them or not. Next time take this into consideration before completely trashing a band who has just as much talent as any of the bands you like.

Just because you have such limited taste and think that every band outside of your genre is not as good as your indie/alternative bands. I listen to every type of music excpet for country which i delve into every once in a while, your criticism of a band that is really talented and became so popular because of their talent and appeal, only reflects back on you, revealing your complete lack of knowledge of music and anything about the subject, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling/incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone who has read this blog is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Just becuase you dont agree with what i said doesnt meen that im stupid and that i dont know waht im talking about. so ya. and im not so closed minded to my genre, i dont even know if ud say i have a genre. ya i listen to indie and stuff like that but i also listen to country, classic rock, jazz and other stuff as well. also im not the only one who feels this way im just the only one who actaully put it into words that kinda make sense. And me and god are tight and he does love me so im not really worried about that. and at least katie had the nerve to use her name.
I think my biggest offence to this blog was the way you dissed us...the group of us that went up there, hell i could have written a bad review on any band that you like that you went and payed money for....idk i feel a little hurt but im not going to be in a rage of anger, except that you would diss your own friends

so if ya'll would stop fighting it would be LOVELY... everyone has their own opinion and i'm fine w/ that elias... if the group you "dissed" feels like you have offended them that could be a leeeetle bit of a problem. I just think if you are going to write a review, you need to have gone to their concert to experience what your group of friends did.
We all have our opinions and we are all gonna disagree w/ eachother and you know that i dont like a lot of the bands you do (elias) ... everyone needs to remember that this blog/sound club thing is about opinions and it is ok to voice those opinions as YOUR OWN... dont put words into other people's mouths, and you can back up your "argument" - that's the point of music... to cause controversy... just be curtious to the people who disagree with you.
