The Cold War Kids

Two weeks ago I found two EPs, "Up In Rags" and "With Our Wallets Full", by the Cold War Kids. I was ambivalent at first. New bands are rarely good. But all my anxiet was gone by the end of the EPs. Plain and simple, these guys rock. Channeling the rambunctious spirits of The Unicorns (R.I.P) and jazz, they sound as if they're going to pass out from exhaustion. The lead's voice strikes a range between Jack White's whine and normalcy. The guitars are intricate and yet free form, the beats fun...the music good. I could gush about these guys alot. Even Stereogum did, so make forth with speed and listen up.
